Irish Food Company seeking a highly skilled New Product Development Manager to join their innovative, market leading and growing business. This highly automated, modern food production facility creates the highest quality products for the UK and Irish Markets. The NPD manager will be a key figurehead within the business, working with the senior management team in delivering products that facilitate the strategic direction of the business across several different product categories. The Position: Direct and deliver an innovation and NPD plan that supports the business’ strategy and drives growth opportunities for the future. Develop new products and packaging concepts, while expanding and refreshing existing products and ranges. Understand and interpret market research data, consumer trends, as well as customer and market led briefs. Scope customer interface, concept development, raw material sourcing, product technical assessment, launch process and optimisation of product on shelf. Set & Manage NPD budget. Set and achieve KPI Targets for NPD department. Enhance & develop internal NPD and NPI processes & procedures. The Person: Third level Food Science Technology or equivalent industry experience. Experience of Product Development processes with Irish & UK Retailers. Demonstrate successful development & launch achievements. Excellent ingredient, process & technical understanding. Excellent project management and people management skills. Commercially astute including good financial awareness and understanding.
