A leading and well established international valves and controls manufacturer with factories around the world are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join their internal sales team. Due to growth our client seeking to appoint a technical orientated salesperson based in their Cork offices. This technical sales engineer role essentially involves translating and explaining highly complex technical information to customers and clients, focusing on revealing how a product or piece of equipment can solve specific problems. If you have an engineering bias and looking to make the transition in to a technical role in sales then this is the ideal role for you. There would be full technical product training over several months with software training in in-house systems. • Handling technical and commercial valves and controls enquiries from customers. • Specifying products based on customers applications. • Preparing and processing quotations. • Reviewing and processing customers orders. • Expediting orders and documentation as required. • Working with our external sales team to maximise sales growth and opportunities. The ideal candidate would: • Degree in Engineering/Chemical/Mechanical area. • 2-3 years’ experience in both a Sales and Technical role. • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication. • Have the drive to proactively promote the company’s products in a highly competitive market place. • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening. • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters. • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively. • Work well within a team environment. • Computer literate with knowledge of Outlook, Internet and Excel.
