The National Cancer Registry currently has a vacancy for a permanent full-time I.T Supervisor. The successful candidate will report to the NCRI I.T. Manager on issues relating to operations of the IT Department to ensure the optimal performance of the Registry’s infrastructure and applications. The primary function is to oversee the daily operation of IT. Work with Registry management team to propose and identify new and/or improved IT business solutions. Ensure the provision of IT services fully meets the requirements and priorities as set out by Registry management. Plan, lead and assist the development and maintenance of all agreed IT solutions. The successful candidate must have a relevant professional/third level qualification or be qualified by experience. Demonstrable project management and team leadership experience. At least 5 years’ relevant experience to include familiarity with relational databases, web and client-server systems, infrastructure and networks, active directory and security principles, to include recent experience of working in a similar environment. Have a strong customer service background with excellent people skills. Strong communication skills, including an ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff, and to chair and facilitate meetings with a wide range of stakeholder groups. A strong technical background with a wide and varied technical knowledge and demonstrable expertise in bringing business and IT together. This post will be based at the National Cancer Registry in Cork. Salary will be in accordance with Department of Health grade VII salary scale: € 48,980- €63,671 (including long service increments) Starting salary will be at the 1st point of the scale.
