The National Cancer Registry currently has a vacancy for a permanent full-time Research Projects Manager. The successful candidate will report to the NCRI Research Manager on issues relating to project management activities and work in conjunction with the Executive Management Team. The primary function is to project manage research activity in the National Cancer Registry Ireland including project management of clinical registries, short-term research studies, planning new research initiatives and management of external funding sources. The successful candidate must have a relevant professional/third level qualification or be qualified by experience. A project management qualification, be able to demonstrable recent project management and/or team leadership experience. The ability to manage multiple large projects on an ongoing basis and deliver on time within budget. Have a strong knowledge and understanding of health research and data management  The successful candidate will also have very strong communication skills, including an ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff, and to chair and facilitate meetings with a wide range of stakeholder groups. This post will be based at the National Cancer Registry in Cork. Salary will be in accordance with Department of Health grade VI salary scale: € 46,771- €57,158 (including long service increments) Starting salary will be at the 1st point of the scale.
