My client, a well-established Accountancy Practice in Cork is seeking a highly capable Payroll Assistant to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities of this role: Support the processing of payroll for a large number of external clients on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis using various packages including Thesaurus, Sage Micropay and Collsoft. Update records of holiday entitlements for all employees. Maintain accurate records for all clients. Ensure timely preparation of payroll submissions to Revenue. Deal with day to day queries from clients regarding payroll and related issues. Support with other ad hoc payroll related duties as required ie Redundancy calculations, NERA inspections, etc. Provide general administrative support across the team as required. The successful candidate: Strong working knowledge of the Irish Payroll System. Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines. Excellent organisation and communication skills. Motivated individual with ability to take initiative and prioritise tasks. Ability to process a wide variety of payrolls each with different payslip, payment and informational requirements. Experience in UK Payroll System an advantage. Strong numerical skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail. Hardworking and flexible, with strong problem-solving skills. Strong IT skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook. Qualifications & Experience: Ideally, minimum of 2 years experience in high volume payroll position, working in a fast-paced environment.
