We are now recruiting a Productivity Engineer to join our team in Little Island, Cork on a permanent basis. We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo's mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi. We are at the heart of PepsiCo products, sourcing ingredients to manufacture more than 1,200 recipes for our brands. Position Purpose and Primary Accountabilities Productivity. Key member of team driving the Productivity agenda in Ireland, removing waste from the process, optimizing production output and supporting investment for growth to deliver a reduction in the cost base. Annual Productivity target for Cork Concentrate in excess of M$4. Support productivity pipeline three Cork sites. Work with Global PGCS team to partner with our customers (internal external) and stakeholders to evaluate opportunities and prioritise areas of focus. Influence Project selection through on-going discussions with sponsors and stakeholders. Work in partnership with Ireland Finance to track productivity savings and report in an accurate and timely manner. Deliver individual productivity projects for PGCS to assigned value. Business Support. Lead LSS facilitation at Kaizen events brainstorming sessions, workshops for PGCS in Ireland, at other PGCS locations and with other global PepsiCo teams (packaging team, POWER team, various sectors, individual bottling plants, etc. Provide capacity analysis support and knowledge to Management and project teams; developing models for annual capacity, business planning and utilisation modelling. Act as a Change Agent in driving innovation and re-engineering to new and existing processes. Drive solutions and improvements delivering traceability and cost saving analysis. In particular by applying lean tools to projects in Operations, Supply Chain and in Logistics. Process improvement. Consult with area owners, decide on area priorities and mentor team members on the execution of process improvement actions and problem solving skills. Drive Mistake proofing and DMAIC culture throughout the plants and Ireland by advocating LSS philosophy and managing tollgate driven decision making. LSS training. Participate in the LSS Training platform for PGCS. Contribute to training plans, schedule, logistics. Work with PepsiCo global LSS team to share resources. Teach at PGCS LSS training sessions to attendees from PGCS global roles as well as Cork based team members and European based PepsiCo team members. Mentoring a diverse cross section of the business; Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, R&D, etc. Other. Work with Global teams in determining capacity and costs relating to global concentrate supply scenarios. Demonstrate the impact of growing complexity in our business to Plant stakeholders and how we are mitigating the same - internal management, PGCS senior management & PepsiCo senior management. Essential Skills: 5 years proven experience in any of the following; Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality. 3rd level or equivalent qualification -Diploma or Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, etc. Proven Leadership skills, process and business understanding in core functions of manufacturing & supply chain business areas highly desirable. Proven Program/Project Management skills. DMAIC LSS Methodology qualified. Experience in Capital expenditure justification process, engineering projects, and vendor management a plus. Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks. Experience with people and process change management. Experience training others or building capability. Ability to influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization. High attention to detail, Self-starter/motivated. Lean or Six Sigma training, ideally Green or Black Belt but combined with demonstrable experience, White Belt, Kaizen Leader etc. would be desirable, as would familiarity with SAP.
