PepsiCo is on the look-out for a QA Analytical Technician to join our R&D function and be part of our Team in Little Island Cork. We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo's mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi. This position is required to test and report trade beverage samples in-line with our global quality assurance program requirements and timelines. Position Purpose. Perform accurate analysis and reporting of monthly trade analytical samples & samples submitted for special analysis in compliance with PepsiCo Global procedures and standards. Review and interpret test results. Prepare lab solutions, reagents and controls in the lab. Be part of a global laboratory team to ensure alignment and consistency across processes and practices. Conducts test method investigations and validations for accreditation where required. Develop reference files, quality control charts, and graphs on laboratory data. Participate and demonstrate competency in proficiency testing schemes and ensure adequate follow up to the results recovered. Demonstrate competent use of laboratory business information and reporting systems (LIMS. Work with analysts to monitor monthly key performance indicators and report them to Lab Manager and Global Quality Coordinator, highlighting any issues, concerns etc. Work with the team, Quality Manager and Laboratory Manager to ensure compliance to Quality Management System, as well as ISO17025 requirements and accreditation body requirements. Responsibility for equipment calibration and maintenance schedule for the lab. Demonstrate adherence to site Health & Safety and Good Laboratory Practice policies and procedures. Essential. Analytical Chemistry/Nutritional Science/Food Science/Technology qualification to BSc degree level as a minimum requirement. Minimum of 6 months experience required of working in an analytical laboratory, including quality systems, testing and calibrating equipment. Self-starter, proactive in delivering results and a good organiser. Communicates effectively and follows detailed written and verbal instruction. Flexibility regarding priority changes. Good organizational, time-management and teamwork skills. Cooperate with co-workers within an organized team environment. Manage time effectively to complete assignments in expected time frame. Positive attitude and ability to work well with others. Ability to think and act on their own, while communicating needs and results appropriately. DESIRED qualifications and/or experience. * Experience with laboratory driven data processes. * Independently analyses and solves complex problems.
