Opportunity to join leading engineering consultancy firm working across Europe predominantly. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Head of IT will have operational, strategic and management responsibility of all of company’s organisational technology, including its development and implementation. This role will maximise the adoption of technologies and be responsible for the delivery of any operational and strategic business change programs through the use of both internal and external resources. Collaborating with key stakeholders, consultants, and senior management, the Head of IT will assess the needs of the users within the context of their business environment, in the effort to align the IT systems to their requirements and manage the systems to ensure they are constantly available to users. Overall accountability of the IT team, ensuring their growth and development, through regular performance feedback, career development, team and individual goal attainment. Relevant Degree / Diploma with at least 5 years’ experience in a leadership role, preferably with a strong information security and infrastructure background. Comfortable with and can excel in a fast paced, challenging environment, while experience in a similar environment is preferably it is not essential. Can show innovation and a deep knowledge and interest in technology. Experience managing systems and people geographically dispersed, with the ability to train and mentor your team.
