Finishing Foreman role for a Main Contractor on a 500 unit residential project in County Cork. Our client has projects in a number of areas including residential, commercial, retail, industrial and student accommodation. They have the capability to carry out the entire process – from planning and construction right through to completion. In order to help identify, develop, and complete a project for their investors on time, budget and to the highest standard they also participate in Joint Ventures. They offer a complete consultancy service: From identifying sites to managing the finished property. Job Description: Liaising with: - Sub-contractors: to ensure programmes are maintained and services are co-ordinated effectively. Site Manager: sub-contractors programmes and co-ordination. Quantity Surveyor: on cost issues. Site Clerk: material and plant requisitioning. Purchasing Manager: procurement of bulk items. Quality & Environmental manager : maintaining site records in accordance with ISO9001 and ISO14001 requirements. H&S Officer: promoting the implementation of the safety management system. Implementation of daily and weekly programmes together with the issue of programme detail to sub-contractors. Attending weekly management team meeting for Bennett Construction team. Maintaining the site diary – recording manpower levels for each sub-contractor and keeping detailed notes of all site activities. Compiling labour allocation sheets for Bennett direct and hired labour. Assisting with the control of plant and equipment on site. Co-ordinating and managing of subcontractors. Ensuring work is carried out to the highest of standards. Dealing with all health and safety issues on site. Ability to motivate labourers and sub-contractors. Provide clear leadership and direction to the site team while maintaining a professional manner is essential. Ideal Candidate. Trade Qualified Carpenter required (other suitable and relevant trade backgrounds may be considered. Preferably 5 years Finishing Foreman experience. Ability to work to tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills. Proven track record in Residential Projects. Basic use of emails, computer use desirable.
