Location: Cork Chamber Office, Fitzgerald House, Summerhill North, Cork. Reporting To: Events Manager. Role Purpose. The primary role of the Events Executive is to work within the Member Services team, supporting the Events Manager to deliver the current event calendar from idea generation to implementation; event promotion to evaluation as part of the detailed organisation of a busy events calendar. Support the Events Manager with all aspects of event organisation, from sourcing of suppliers, liaising with speakers, stakeholders, sponsors and members as well as table plans, name badges, attendee lists, running orders and more. Assist on the promotion & communication of events via email, web, print etc. Area of Responsibility: Booking management including servicing e-mail and telephone enquiries from member companies. Co-ordination and follow-up of invitation lists for various activities, as well as internal diary management for events. Creation and design of promotional materials for events. Sourcing, negotiating and liaising with various suppliers, such as hotels, AV companies, photographers, any suppliers required depending on scope of event. Updating and managing the CRM system and events page on website. Liaising with various departments e.g. marketing, accounts during the organisation process for events. Prepare pre and post-event material including member communications, picture gallery, surveys. Research of suitable speakers to build up a panel of potential speakers for different events e.g. business breakfasts, dinners, high level corporate networking evenings. Organising working groups & task forces and being responsible for the diary management and administration of events committee meetings. Any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Member Services or Events Manager. Person Specification. Essential Qualifications: Third Level Qualification. Desirable Qualifications: Events. Social Media/Digital Media. Functional Knowledge & Experience. 1 year experience in an events or administrative role. Excellent IT skills and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office. Essential Skills. Excellent organisational skills. Excellent time management skills. High level of customer service. Strong communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Work on own initiative & take ownership of the work. Flexibility. A team player with the ability to multi-task.
