Supply Chain Manager. Our client, based in the Newmarket, Kanturk, Millstreet area requires a Supply Chain Manager. This Supply Chain Manager opportunity has come about due to substantial growth and expansion of this Irish Company. After a visit of their hi-spec production facility recently, we got a good overview of the whole business and their expansion vision, which is why they are recruiting for this role. This would be a great opportunity for someone who is looking to progress from senior buyer to supply chain manager. You will be joining a less bureaucratic company where you would have the freedom to be innovative. You would take ownership of the implementation of the whole Supply chain. You will be responsible for buying, negotiating contracts, supply chain, stock, forecasting, planning and logistics. Are you a strong negotiator? Are you able to forecast price trends? Some of the duties include: forecast levels of demand for services and products; keep a constant check on stock levels; conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality; liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers; build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers; negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided; give presentations about market analysis and possible growth; develop a purchasing strategy; produce reports and statistics using computer software; evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors; ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives; attend meetings and trade conferences; train and supervise the work of other members of staff. You will have experience gained in the FMCG sector (preferably production facility.
