Laboratory Analyst required for 5 week contract to assist during busy harvest season. The chosen candidate will work within the Quality Control Laboratory which is responsible for the analytical testing of raw material, in-process and finished product samples. Responsibilities: Perform analytical tests according to the SOP’s in a timely and organised manner. Generate data and interpret results for each analysis performed. Carry out environmental monitoring on site. Perform investigations, where required, for deviations and out-of-specification results. Contribute to proper use, calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Perform sample management activities. Perform other duties as designated by the Laboratory Manager. Carry out physical and chemical analysis on harvest samples. Education & Experience: A 3rd level qualification in a scientific / technical discipline required. Practical analytical laboratory experience in a GMP environment. Good communication skills. PC skills (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel. A knowledge of Institute of Brewing (IOB) & European Brewing Convention (EBC) methods is desirable but not essential. This job originally appeared on RecruitIreland.com.
