My client, a leading organisation in the Insurance industry is seeking a high calibre Accounts Assistant to join their team on a 10-12 month contract. Hours: 8:45am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch. 22 days annual leave. What you will be doing: Assisting the AP and AR functions using SAGE. Completing monthly bank reconciliations. Daily reconciliation of the cash books – handling cash and cheques, card payments and bank transfers, issuing refunds etc. Reconciliation of monthly creditor statements for payment and following up on any outstanding issues. Reconciliation of monthly debtor statements – submitting monthly remittances to Insurance companies, liaising with them to reconcile payments, resolving queries with their accounts personnel and with our own staff. General administration – data entry, scanning and other general office duties. The successful candidate: Previous Accounts Administration experience in a busy environment. Ability to meet strict deadlines whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Ability to identify and resolve accounting issues and queries through sound decision making and an astute manner. Experience of SAGE is essential. Experience of Relay is desirable.
