Kenny-Whelan are sourcing a QC assistant for our Food Manufacturing client based in West Cork. Job Title : Quality Assistant. Qualification Required: A Diploma or Primary Degree in Food Science & Technology or Nutrition or in a related field. Food industry experience desirable but not essential. Duties include: Responsibility for Food Safety, integrity, legality, quality and Food Safety Management System. Ensuring day to day operations meets existing quality standards and that all quality procedures are implemented and adhered to. Taking action to resolve any quality issues arising, monitoring and reporting of quality standards to the management team. Escalating quality and procedural issues to the Quality Manager. Ensuring HACCP Control Points are being correctly monitored during production. Micro and sensory sampling and evaluation. To conduct compliance checks ensuring adherence to the quality system within QA/Production areas. Implementing, monitoring and reviewing corrective actions. Assisting the Quality Manager in relation to both internal and external audits. Al applications will be treated with the strictest of confidence.
