We have been asked by one of our client companies, a progressive food retailer to recruit a Quality Control Assistant on their behalf. This company offers a competitive basic salary with shift and sunday premiums and additional benefits for an ambitious, organised individual who wants to join a company with prospects for career progression. The Role: Conduct checks on all fresh products. Detailed inspection of incoming products against product specifications. Report findings of quality issues. Liaising with suppliers. Sampling. Assisting with the monitoring of corrective actions on products. Shift pattern is generally 2pm to 10pm, five days over seven days, including weekends and bank holidays. The Successful Candidate will: Attention to Detail. Good communication Skills (oral & written. Organised. Possess competent PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook. Adapts to changing circumstances. Ability to learn quickly. Good decision making skills. Ability to be able to work as part of a team or independently. Conscientious. Demonstrates a passion for quality. Be self-motivated. Customer awareness. Ideally a background in fresh food or in a relevant industry.
