A Cork based SME with a strong International footprint has an excellent opportunity for the right person to join their growing finance team as a Company Accountant. This role, which has arisen due to continuing business growth, will report to and work directly with the Financial Controller as well as other key business stakeholders. Duties & Responsibilities: Month End Reporting & Analysis – work with the Financial Controller to complete month end/year end accounts and all related tasks. Management of the month end process (end to end. Key member of the annual audit team. Manage the AP function to include FX transactions. KPI Reporting – produce the weekly and monthly KPI’s. IT Projects: o Contribute to current ERP projects. o Contribute/take ownership of designated IT projects. o Continuous Improvement – drive efficiencies through IT automation. Day to Day Finance activities – management of day to day ad-hoc finance duties that arise such as queries from banking issues, Revenue VAT/P30 returns etc. Ad-hoc duties as assigned. Manage a team of other finance and administrative staff. Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA. 2+ years working within a similar role. Excellent excel skills & exposure to accounting packages. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills will be required. A strong attention to detail is a pre requisite. A ‘’Can do’’ attitude.
