Position: MRI Radiographer. Location: Cork city. Type of role: Full time, permanent. Working hours: 9am-5pm/8am-4pm, Monday - Friday. Salary: very attractive pay rates benefits. You will have an opportunity to work with the best qualified medical and technical professionals. Your profile: Third level degree BSc in Radiography or Equivalent. Post grad qualification in MRI 2-3 years experience. OR 6 years experience in MRI without Post Grad qualification. Active registration with CORU, or final stages of registration process. You will have the ability to perform a broad range of MRI examinations. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work on your own initiative as well as with a team of Radiographers. You will have ability to work under pressure, manage clinical and non-clinical situations. You will speak Fluent English. Available to take up work asap. What will be expected of you: To perform MRI examinations under the remit of the scope of services offered by the company as well as cover in other Radiology areas such as x-ray and DXA if required by the company. You will maintain a high standard of Radiography. You will ensure that the three principles of radiation protection, namely justification, optimisation and dose constraints/limits are adhered to. You will take part in routine daily inspection of equipment and quality assurance procedures. To report any defects or problems either directly to the RSM or Clinical Specialist in the area where working. You will be aware of own limitations in terms of expertise and experience and not to be afraid to ask for assistance or advice from more senior staff. You will follow directions of RSM, Consultant Radiologist, Clinical Specialist, more experienced staff and departmental protocols where applicable. You will keep up-to-date with current techniques and developments in Radiographic and imaging procedures and to take part in in-service training as required. To actively participate in Continued Professional Development. You will take responsibility for the general cleanliness, tidiness and safety of the Department, with specific responsibility for their own work area. You will familiarise themselves with current infection control procedures. You will be familiar with, and abide by, all Health and Safety Rules and recommendations.
