Description

Drug Product Engineering Team Lead: A motivated and experienced Drug Product Engineering Team Lead is required to join a Global leading Pharmaceutical company. In this role, you will ensure the performance of day to day preventative, predictive and demand maintenance activity to maintain manufacturing and utility equipment. Role Responsibilities: Establish with the Engineering Manager the department goals, schedules and timetables for activities. Work with the EHS, Projects and FUE Leads to create synergies and deliver exceptional performance. Ensure Improvement Projects are delivered on time, within budget and deliver the project stated objectives. Responsible for regularly communicating departmental achievements and progress to management. A long-range plan developed and updated yearly for equipment improvements and capital requirements for the replacement of critical equipment. Preparation of expenditure budgets for annual plan meeting. Assist with the management and supporting of manufacturing equipment development. Maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Develops monthly engineering metrics. Ensure successful external, Division and Corporate audits. Ensure compliance with calibration requirements. Completion of PM on manufacturing equipment. Identification and implementation of manufacturing equipment related to CIP’s. Issue management reports as requested and on time. Management of relevant budgets within a target. Cross train within manufacturing engineering. Ensure safety standards are met and safe working practices adhered to. Implementation of equipment/process upgrade in an environment of continuous improvement. Support the Engineering Team in ensuring that manufacturing equipment is maintained to meet the required legal, divisional and corporate standards. Ensure the effective management of appropriate internal and external plant projects. Implementation of all relevant policies relating to Personnel, Quality, Engineering & Safety. Negotiate cost / quality effective external contracts. Prepare appropriate CAPA plans and implement timelines. Required to undertake specific investigations, and equipment monitoring, with the view to improve manufacturing performance e.g. reducing plant downtime and maximizing Plant output and yield. It may be necessary to re-design elements of manufacturing machinery to adapt to process conditions in order to improve efficiency. Role Requirements: Engineering or relevant 3rd level qualification. Demonstrated ability in the leadership, management and development of a team in a pharmaceutical/Medical Device area. 5 years plus of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer. 2 years plus of experience as an Engineering Supervisor or Project Manager.
