Opportunity for Environmental Specialist to join an established multi-disciplinary Engineering and Environmental Consulting Practice which has been in business over 50 years and currently employs over 150 people. The head office is located in Cork City. The Environmental Specialist will work within our growing Environmental and Planning team in our Cork office and will be involved in carrying out Environmental Impact Assessments for a variety of projects types, including: • Wind Farms. • Pumped Hydro Storage Energy (PHES) Facilities. • Ports, Harbours and Piers. • Marinas. • Multi-use Developments. • Tourism and Amenity Developments. • Roads. • Quarries. The ideal candidate will be looking to further his/her career and gain invaluable experience in a multi disciplinary engineering consultancy within a friendly working environment. EXPERIENCE: Degree in Environmental Engineering/ Science or Civil Engineering. 5-10 years post qualification experience, most of which will have been gained within an environmental consultancy area. - Membership of a professional body. - Must have previous experience of completing EIA's for Planning applications. - Knowledge of and experience in contaminated land/geo-environmental assessment would be an advantage. - Ability to meet strict deadlines. - Strong technical report writing skills. - Strong commercial awareness.
