Opeartions Manager is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork based client. THE ROLE: * You will have the chance to provide leadership to a value stream manufacturing multiple product families. You will develop a team of Operations Supervisors and lead a cross functional value stream team comprising Engineering, Quality and operations personnel- ensuring high levels of performance and employee engagement. * Your business acumen will be key - ensuring all key financial metrics and targets (including quality, cost and service) are achieved for the Value stream. As a member of the site leadership team you shall contribute to the broader site strategic goals and performance objectives. This may include taking lead ownership along with lead team colleagues on execution planning for key strategic initiatives. REQUIREMENTS: * At least 5 years manufacturing experience, preferably at production management level, within a team-based manufacturing environment (Medical Device background desirable but not essential. * Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent essential. * An excellent team player that can leverage the abilities of all personnel working within the business unit. * Competent in preparing business strategies and implementing action plans. * PC literate and strong knowledge of inventory systems, MRP and measurement tools essential. * Excellent presentation and communication skills are required.
