Food Quality Assistant job, Cork. Food Quality Assistant, Cork. Our client, a Food client/distributor, is now looking for a Quality Assistant to join their team. Reporting to the Quality Manager and working hand-in-hand with production, as well as other functions in the business, you will ensure that the standards in quality and in Food Safety are met and maintained. This is a great opportunity to develop your career in Food Quality with a successful and growing business. Your day-to-day as Food Quality Assistant: Ensure effective implementation of HACCP system and ensuring all checks are carried out and verified as per procedure and appropriate corrective action taken. Compiling, trending and communication of Quality reports. Carry out of product quality checks. Assisting with investigations into complaints and correction action plans. Support during BRC audits. Experience you'll need for Food Quality Assistant: Degree level qualification in e.g. Food Science & Technology or equivalent. 1 -2 years' experience in a similar role. Understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems with strong knowledge of Food legislation, BRC Global Food Standard and Codes of Practice. Good interpersonal and organisational skills. Ability to work cross-functionally, meet deadlines and build effective relationships. Proficient in the use of MS Office tools. Salary: DOE.
