Food Quality Manager job, Cork. As part as the Senior Management team, our food client/distributors are looking for a Quality Manager with sound technical experience, as you will be an integral part of the business. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of managing quality processes and procedures, and of working with stakeholders to achieve commercial results. As Quality Manager, you will be organised, used to working in a fast-paced environment and be a strong communicator. You will promote a food safety & quality culture across the business. Applicants must have at least 5 years relevant Food Quality Manager experience in order to be considered for the job. Your day-to-day as Food Quality Manager: Ensure the processes needed for maintaining the requirements of the BRC Global Standard Food are realised, to ensure accreditation to BRC and other standards. Responsible for motivating, guiding and supporting a proactive quality team. Conduct all appropriate internal audits. Work with supplier technical representatives to resolve incoming quality problems. Conducting of GMP audits to schedule, managing closeouts including any training/re-training requirements and trending of non-conformances raised. Ensure full product traceability is maintained at all stages of the production process. Ensure Hygiene/HACCP policies are appropriate & implemented. Ensure QMS, food safety, due diligence systems are in control at all times. Inform the company on any impending legislation changes. Liaising with the Food Safety Authority and other relevant bodies. Experience you'll need for Food Quality Manager: Degree in a Food Science/Food Technology or equivalent Science discipline. Extensive 5 years' experience working in a Quality Management Food Manufacturing role. Strong interpersonal, communication, writing and presentation skills with the ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally. A positive, can-do, resilient and flexible attitude with the aptitude to take ownership of tasks. Performance driven with a proven track record of achievement, high integrity and capability to exercise sound judgement in decision-making. Salary: DOE.
