Senior Finance Manager. In partnership with its client Kenny-Whelan & Associates is currently seeking a Senior Finance Manager for the Cork area. The Client: The Client is a well-established Pharmaceutical company in Cork. Profile: This position reports to the Associate Director on the Controllership Team in Cork. The successful candidate will work withing a Specialist Controllership Function overseeing approx 20 countries. Duties & Responsibilities: Controllership oversight of several entities providing guidance and support on US GAAP accounting queries and issues. Attending month-end review calls, seeking clarification from Country Finance teams on any unexpected variances or unusual accounting treatments; ensuring open issues are addressed. Preparing and reviewing key slides submitted to Corporate and working with FP&A to ensure consistent and accurate reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis. Preparing and reviewing various SEC and other management reports quarterly and monthly. Preparing working capital reporting submitted to Treasury on a quarterly basis. Conduct specific country balance sheet reviews and follows up on action items of Country Finance and FSS teams. Ensure to stay aligned with the SOX program in EMEA. Works on ad hoc projects to enhance policy, strengthen controls and build efficient processes for reporting. Shares best practice across EMEA Controllership and identifies areas of continuous improvement. Qualifications: BA or BSc Degree in Accounting. ACA, Big 4 Trained. IT/Computer Systems: MS Office Suite in particular Advanced Excel. Oracle or similar ERP system. Skills; Experience in Financial Shared Services essential. Experience in Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry a bonus. Previous Supervisory experience very desirable. In-depth working knowledge of general accounting practices and procedures and US GAAP required. Ability to successfully manage the work of financial personnel and interact effectively with non-financial personnel. Strong presentation and communication skills are required.
