Are you an experienced CNM or DON with background in Psychiatric Nursing ? If so, please take a minute to review this fantastic DON / PIC opportunity with a community service provider in North Co. Cork based center. In this full time position, you will support Clinical Director(s) and approved centre teams in the delivery of high quality services to all Residents and Patients. You will identify supports and work in partnership with the individual resident/patient, their family and other supports, as outlined within individual care plans, so that individual care plans can be achieved. Position: Director of Nursing. Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer (COO. Location : North Co. Cork, travel expected to other locations as required. In addition, there is substantial training in legislative, Health & Safety and other job-related training provided on an on-going basis. Job description: You will provide leadership, and support team members of the designated centre(s) to provide highest quality of support to residents in their designated centre(s), through daily interaction, supervision, appraisal and monthly team meetings. You will be responsible for managing and leading all human resources within the assigned approved centre(s) and for the effective co-ordination of all multi-disciplinary team members involved in the care and support of residents and patients within the assigned approved centre(s) and residents and patients attending clinic within the approved centre(s) and assigned regional clinic(s) in accordance with the Mental Health Act 2001 and 2008. Your profile: BSc in Nursing and Active registration with NBMI - the Psychiatric Division ( essential ) Ideally you will have 3rd level, post-registration qualification in healthcare management or working towards and/or equivalent may be an advantage, or a contractual undertaking to acquire within 3 years from the date of appointment. You will have a minimum of 5 years post qualification/registration nursing experience. You will have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in ID/Mental Health nursing. You will have a minimum of 3 years supervisory/management experience. You will have an extensive knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2001 and 2008. You will have strong management and leadership skills. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with residents, family/visitors, team members, management and external bodies e.g. GP's / medical professionals, Mental Health Commission, Multi-Disciplinary team, etc., You will have experience working within highly complex / high support services. You will have experience of reporting on monthly KPI's linked to key business objectives. You will hold a full, clean Driver's License. On call duty flexibility required. Flexibility to move to another location if required.
