Clinical Nurse Manager II (Permanent. Paediatric/Paediatric Hematology -Oncology Ward. The CNM 2 is an essential member of the Nurse Management Team. This involves the implementation and evaluation of nursing services, the maintenance of the optimum clinical environment, the clinical working environment and the enhancement of an effective clinical learning environment. The post of CNMII is central to the co-ordination and management of activity and resources within the Ward. Responsibilities: The post holder will be responsible for: •The provision of the highest standards of nursing care to patients. •The management of all Nursing and Para-nursing staff in the clinical area in consultation with the Senior Nurse Management team. •The maintenance and development of professional nursing standards. •The maintenance of a safe environment for patients and staff within allocated resources. •A particular emphasis on promotion of multi-disciplinary team working. Eligibility Criteria - Candidates: •Be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland {NMBI}(Bord Altranais agus Cnaimhseachais ns hEireann. •Have at least 5 years post registration experience of which 2 years must be in the related area. •Paediatric Nursing qualification desirable. •Provide evidence of clinical and professional managerial ability, leadership, communication and organisational skills. •Excellent interpersonal skills. •Provide evidence of ongoing professional development. •Evidence of leading clinical practice initiatives. •Evidence of promotion of multi-disciplinary team work.
