Description

Finance Manager. This is a very exciting and very broad ranging position that will requires a strong financial and operational experience. The Finance Manager will be the strategic financial manager and planner ensuring that the organisation’s resources are managed effectively and efficiently and will also be responsible for financial reporting, budget preparation, resource management, fleet management, housing/ capital developments, insurance, procurement, compliance, ICT and DPO duties. Degree in Accountancy, Commerce, Finance or Economics (Level 8) or Degree in an area relevant to the role (Level 8. Relevant post-qualification experience in a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders. Experience and a demonstrated track record of managing a significant annual budget (circa €10million. Experience in regular finance reporting and financial accounting processes including achievement of monthly and annual deadlines with multiple stakeholders. Experience in dealing with large volumes of complex data in a large organisation. Experience of financial risk management, including analysing and categorising potential risks, instituting policies and procedures to deal with identified risks and the continuous review of risk control measures. Experience of developing business case documentation. Operational planning and implementation including strategic planning. Proven track record in accurate forecasting and cashflow management. Experience of finance and budgeting systems. Comprehensive experience of various accounts and payroll software packages. Experience of supervising staff, with a track record of managing an accounts team to achieve key deliverables. Exceptional proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite – particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and TEAMS. Knowledge of relevant Charity and Company legislation, Accounting Standards and Regulatory requirements. Desirable Qualifications & Experience Membership, or working towards membership of a recognised or prescribed accountancy body such as ACCA, CPA, ACMA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent. Post-Graduate Qualification in Management/ Leadership or equivalent. Previous experience in human rights, not-for –profit, community, social care or healthcare sector would be a distinct advantage. Experience in dealing with a property portfolio, including Housing Association regulations, Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) etc. Previous experience of procurement management including tendering for capital projects. Previous experience of managing and overseeing the IT Function of an organisation. Experience of operating payroll, utilising essential and integrated accounting software. Experience of various software platforms including Salesforce, Time & Attendance Systems would be advantageous. Familiar with Microsoft Azure environment. Previous experience of administration of company pension scheme. Previous experience in insurance management and administration. Database management experience i.e. Microsoft Access. Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Competencies Knowledge of HSE funding systems and Service Arrangements as they relate to Section 39 funded organisations. Knowledge of relevant HSE policies.
