The Council is committed to increasing its capacity and capability for change to deliver improved public services.   An opportunity now exists in Cork City Council for the position of Senior Executive Solicitor. Reporting to the Head of Legal Affairs, the Senior Executive Solicitor is a management position and provides a comprehensive service to the County Council in the entire area of local government law including, without being exhaustive, conveyancing, litigation, dispute resolution, procurement and commercial and EU law.  The successful candidate will: • Have been admitted and enrolled as a solicitor in the State; • Have at least 5 years’ experience as a solicitor, including adequate experience of conveyancing and court work, after admission and enrolment as a Solicitor; • Possess a high standard of professional training and experience; • Have a satisfactory knowledge of public service organisation.
