Manufacturing Engineering Technician (Smt)

Reporting to :  Engineering Manager. Purpose : Responsible for SMT line support. Principle Accountabilities :   The successful candidate will be required to; Support high volume Surface Mount Assembly lines. Support New Product Introduction. Troubleshoot, fault finding and repair of manufacturing equipment. Attend meetings to give updates on equipment performance. Carry out Preventative Maintenance. Manage spare parts inventory. Be responsible for managing tooling. Liaise with Customer Focusing Team to monitor performance and quality. Set-up new equipment and production lines. Develop and implement Best practices. Become Technical leads and interact with equipment manufacturers. Qualifications and Experience :   Suitable Engineering qualification or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering,  Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation. Suitable experience in supporting high Volume Manufacturing lines. Suitable Manufacturing experience in troubleshooting and maintenance. Communication Proficiency. Highly organized, driven by achieving results both on a personal and team basis. Candidate should be a clear thinker, perceptive, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Office Skills: Phones, word, Excel, Power point etc. Candidate must be available to work all shift patterns.
