The person appointed will report on domestic and international soccer. S/he will display a distinct writing style and the ability to break stories and write authoritatively for multiple platforms. This will include match reports, features, interviews and breaking news. Storytelling will be an important part of this role, the ability to analyse the game from all angles - tactical, financial and more – and to use video and podcasts to publish high quality content. S/he will also be expected to develop and maintain an effective network of contacts and sources at all levels of the game. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and producing compelling content across print, digital and social platforms accurately and to deadline to deliver high levels of reader and user engagement.
