Applications are invited for the position of Farming Editor The person appointed will provide farming coverage bringing the farming community the most relevant and important news, data and analysis. S/he will have an extensive understanding of the farming sector to report on activities, events, trends, developments and issues and an established track record across print and digital platforms. The role requires the ability to plan and produce digital and print coverage of farming, develop new business sources, create special reports, researching and verifying data and sources for stories, using digital tools to build our audience, ensuring accuracy and balance in all editing and reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning, reporting and writing feature stories that are relevant to the farming community. S/he will develop digital plans to grow audience and revenue across farming/agriculture with a key focus on Munster, evolving farming practices within communities, bringing technology to the core of new farming practices and culture.
