A Quality Manager is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork based food producer client. This is a newly created role within a well established and expanding food processing company . THE ROLE: * Overall Quality Manager for the site. * Support the production of safe food, which meets customer specification and legal requirements by ensuring the effective operation of agreed procedures through regular monitoring, sampling, analysis & auditing. * Conduct routine QA checks on process, ingredients and finished products. * Conduct regular audits of factory GMP & agree corrective actions as necessary. * Conduct timely Internal systems audits as part of the scheduled programme & complete all necessary reports. * Monitoring for trends in analysis, results, legal and internal target compliance and communicating recommendations within the business. * Fully understand and communicate HACCP and related disciplines within the factory unit. Participate in the HACCP team. * Carry out Training when required. REQUIREMENTS: * Relevant Degree / third level qualification preferred. * 3+ years minimum work experience in quality leadership role within a food production environment. * Ability to look for improvement in quality & effectiveness, willing to take initiative. * Innovative, Flexible and enthusiastic.
