The EPA is seeking to fill a Senior Inspector (Level 2) position in our Environmental Licensing Programme.  The EPA is looking for a candidate who can demonstrate environmental regulatory experience in a National and European context.  The person appointed will be responsible for leading a team in the EPA’s Environmental Licensing Programme which is a core regulatory function of the organisation.  The person will contribute to management and continual improvement of the overall Environmental Licensing Programme.  This Programme has responsibility for licensing and regulating activities across a range of sectors so that they do not endanger human health or harm the environment. These include waste activities, large scale industrial activities, waste water discharges, dumping at sea, the contained use and controlled release of Genetically Modified Organisms and the EU-Emissions Trading Scheme. The successful candidates must hold an appropriate degree (NFQ Level 8) in Science or Engineering and a minimum of seven years relevant work experience.
