We are currently recruiting Assistant Bar Manager for a prominent 4* Hotel in Cork City. To ensure the smooth running of the Bars, ensuring the highest levels of guest service and guest satisfaction. To have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all standards and delivery of same within the Bars department. To conduct a team briefing on commencement of each shift in preparation of service. Ensure a detailed and full handover is communicated to you. Ensure team members are aware of their responsibilities. To communicate any relevant information to related departments. Preparation for dinner and events as per hotel standard. Ensuring mis en place is prepared. Responsible for replenishment of crockery, cruets, cutlery, condiments. To ensure that service stations are prepared stocked and ready for service. To re-set tables for next service. To ensure Bars are presented in a clean manner. To ensure an efficient service with minimum delay or wastage. Liaise with conference co-ordinator/tour leaders and conference organisers to ensure smooth handling of large groups and a high level of prompt courteous service. To be aware and analyse all forth coming business on a regular basis and be aware of all daily and future business requirements. To always be familiar with the product offering i.e. the menu, specials and ingredients, and beverage offering. Always be familiar with the wine list and have knowledge and confidence when opening and serving a bottle of wine. To carry out cash handling procedures in accordance with Company policy.
