Process Engineering Team Leader - County Cork. In this role you will be a key leader in the cross-functional support of the  business and operation. This role is responsible for the productivity and development of process engineers with the purpose of ensuring that reliable and compliant equipment and systems are used in the manufacturing of products. Additionally, the Process Engineering Team Leader leads the process engineering organisation for their area and influences across functional disciplines to support the process engineering agenda, business plan priorities, and compliance plan objectives. The Process Engineering Team Leader is expected to lead by example and provide coaching to others in the areas of safety, quality, engineering, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for supervising and coaching process engineering staff for their respective area (online and offline), including completing performance reviews and development planning. Oversight of process engineering staffing including recruitment, resource planning, and succession planning. Provide leadership and develop objectives to deliver Business Plan Goals as it relates to safety, quality, and equipment/process effectiveness and efficiency. In coordination with engineering function, set and reinforce standards for engineering work product and utilization of first principles. Maintain metrics to measure performance against business objectives and make necessary changes to improve performance. Have oversight of engineering related technical issues and improvement initiatives. Review and approve engineering related deviations and change controls. Provide leadership and partnership for local and major capital projects. Participate appropriately in site planning processes (capital and resource), representing the interests of the team but with a view to the overall site picture. Interested applicants should have: At least 7 years process engineering experience in biotech, small molecule, or peptide manufacturing. Previous management or leadership experience including leading or working effectively with a cross-functional group. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Strong technical aptitude and ability to train and mentor others. Educational Requirements: Third Level Engineering Qualification or equivalent.
