Based in Cork, safefood operates across the two jurisdictions of Ireland under the policy direction of the North South Ministerial Council (NSMC) and is accountable to the Houses of the Oireachtas and the Northern Ireland Assembly.   The role. The Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) provides leadership, management and accountability for safefood, managing internal and external relationships and encouraging close and effective cooperation with other relevant agencies and a range of professionals involved in food safety, diet and nutrition across the island of Ireland.    The person. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing strategic direction and possess experience of exercising judgement in relation to policy and operational matters in addition to excellent communication skills and experience of interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders.   Application and further information.
