The Central Statistics Office (CSO) is Ireland’s national statistical office and our purpose is to impartially collect, analyse and make available statistics about Ireland’s people, society and economy. CSO official statistics inform decision making across a range of areas including construction, health, welfare, the environment and the economy. The CSO currently has vacancies for Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Specialists in Cork and Dublin (Executive Officer Level. The CSO is holding a competition to establish the following panels for the appointment of Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Specialists in the CSO: „X Software Development (Cork. „X Infrastructure and Operations (Cork, Dublin. „X Networks and Cyber Security (Cork, Dublin. Software Development Specialist – this role will suit candidates with an interest in developing a career in areas such as  software and applications development (programming) including web applications and websites; mobile; and helping to deliver excellent digital services and user experience. Infrastructure and Operations Specialist – this role will suit candidates with an interest in developing a career in areas such as supporting and managing the Central Statistics Office’s ICT infrastructure and associated services using a broad set of leading technologies and solutions, which may include a hybrid of cloud and on-premise infrastructures; ICT service desk operations including supporting end users, and their devices, in maximising their use of ICT and digital services. Networks and Cyber Security Specialist - will attract candidates with an interest in  developing a career in areas such as supporting and managing the Central Statistics Office’s voice, data and video networks infrastructures which may include a hybrid of cloud and on premise infrastructures; and supporting and managing the Central Statistics Office’s cyber security systems and platforms by ensuring appropriate security for all areas within ICT.
