A Production Manager is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork based manufacturing client company. Please contact Diarmuid Buckley for full details. THE ROLE: * Responsible for daily production performance, including safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. * Facilitate resolution of production problems to achieve targets. * Competent in preparing business strategies and implementing action plans. * Drive continuous improvement projects. * Must be able to work independently with little supervision and direct work priorities of direct report supervisors and manufacturing associates. * Maintain a positive employee relations climate. * Write and conduct yearly performance reviews. * Champion Health & Safety in the manufacturing area. Conduct regular safety & 5S audits and ensure appropriate corrective action is taken. REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent. * 3 years + management experience in a lean manufacturing environment preferably at the production management level, within a team-based manufacturing environment. * Analytical Problem Solving: Able to identify problems; apply structured and disciplined methodology to identify root cause using data.
