For full job description and details on how to apply: https://www.epa.ie/who-we-are/corporate-information/careers/current-vacancies/    The EPA has a number of Immediate vacancies for an Inspector II (Level 4).  These vacancies will be filled in EPA Headquarters Wexford, and the EPA Regional Inspectorates in Cork and Castlebar.  The EPA will form panel from this recruitment campaign from which future Inspector II (Level 4) vacancies may be filled in EPA Headquarters Wexford or any of the following EPA Regional Inspectorates: Castlebar, Cork, Dublin and Kilkenny.   The EPA is looking for a candidate who can demonstrate environmental regulatory experience in a National and European context.   The principal responsibilities relate to the implementation of the EPA’s statutory functions, involving the licensing and/or enforcement of environmental licences and permits issued by the Environmental Protection Agency and enforcement of environmental regulations and technical assessments of files relating to other regulatory regimes. The key responsibilities of an Inspector relate to a wide range of matters particularly concerning the EPA’s licensing regulatory and/or enforcement functions and will involve desk work, site activities and direct dealings with licensees and the public.    The successful candidate must hold an appropriate degree (NFQ Level 8) in Science or Engineering and a minimum of three years’ relevant work experience.  The full range of duties and the essential requirements for this position are set out in the Candidate Information Booklet.
