Whether this was the innovation in the 1990s which led to the development of their ultra-filtration technology to produce whey protein concentrate, the 2000s where the company made key acquisitions to build and expand its international flavours business, or now, where the company is partnering with a range of academic and technology partners to create a model for the world’s first climate neutral dairy farm – experimentation, innovation and expansion are the cornerstones of Carbery’s success.  Headquartered in Ballineen West Cork, with revenues in excess of €500m, the company has twelve manufacturing facilities across the globe and operates through its Nutrition (ingredients), Dairy (award-winning natural cheeses) and Taste (Synergy Flavours) divisions.  Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO. With this background in mind, an exciting and rare opportunity is available for the right candidate to join Carbery’s Global Leadership Team, as Group CFO. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to shape and drive the next phase of Carbery’s success, as they look to build on 50 years of evolution, to create the future of the organization.  Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Group CFO is a member of the Board of Directors and a key member of Carbery’s global leadership team, sharing accountability for the performance and profitable growth of the business and maximising shareholder value. The Group CFO will hold overall responsibility for the fiscal management of the business. They will play a pivotal role in developing and achieving the overall strategic plan of the business along with continuously driving a culture of sustainable bottom-line improvement. An understanding of and interest in new technologies, digital solutions and new approaches will be key, and the board and management of the company will be looking for a candidate who can both competently lead what’s now, and bring the company to what’s next.  This is a key appointment and candidates will have: A minimum of 15 years of finance leadership experience in the food/ beverage (or other related) industry. Experience working with an international company of scale. Experience interacting at Board level. Exceptional commercial and strategic acumen, and an understanding of the challenges facing the industry. A strong interest in continuous learning and creating the new.
