Experienced Laboratory Analyst required. The chosen candidate will work within the Quality Control Laboratory which is responsible for the analytical testing of raw material (barley), in-process and finished product samples (malt. Responsibilities: • Perform analytical tests according to the SOP’s in a timely and organised manner. • Generate data and interpret results for each analysis performed. • Carry out environmental monitoring on site. • Perform investigations, where required, for deviations and out-of-specification results. • Keep up-to-date with SOP’s, specifications and other quality related documentation. • Contribute to proper use, calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment. • Perform sample management activities. • Perform other duties as designated by the Laboratory Manager. Education & Experience: • A 3rd level qualification in a scientific / technical discipline required. • At least 1-2 years of industry experience. • Practical analytical laboratory experience in a GMP environment. • A knowledge of the ISO standard 9001 and HACCP. • Good communication skills. • PC skills (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel. • A knowledge of Institute of Brewing (IOB) & European Brewing Convention (EBC) methods is desirable but not essential. We would be hoping to have the successful candidate start the position as soon as possible. The position is permanent having completed a satisfactory six month probationary period. “ .
