BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST required by CareerWise Recruitment for our multinational Pharmaceutical client in Cork, initial 12 month contract on offer. The BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST will be part of a growing Data Analytics team responsible for the deployment of the manufacturing sites data analytics and visualisation projects. They will have responsibility for the development and maintenance of a business intelligence data reporting solution (Discoverant) as well as the development and maintenance of Tableau, Business Objects and Power BI. THE ROLE: * Development, implementation and support of enterprise data warehousing and business intelligence solutions in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. * Core technologies involved in the role : SQL Server, Discoverant, Tableau, Business Objects, Microsoft Power BI SSRS, Sharepoint (or other interactive dashboards. * Engage with key stakeholders and business users to define business requirements and develop business intelligence solutions to meet these requirements. * Resolve system problems using data analysis and problem solving skills. * The ability to produce high-quality, well documented code that is easily maintainable. * Prepare Project validation deliverables i.e. Validation Plan, Requirements, Design, Test Plan, Test documentation, Validation Report. * The capability to develop relevant test-plans, systematically implement and update them and to co-ordinate release management activities related to your deliverables. * Ensure ongoing compliance with Quality Standards and Practices. * Attend and report status at Team meetings. REQUIREMENTS: * Proven experience in Data Visualisation, Report & Dashboard development - through use of Tableau, SSRS, Business Objects or similar. * Knowledge of data structures, data base design, data warehouses, business intelligence/analytic tools, SQL, ETL tools, and data integration methods. * Knowledge of programming and Oracle SQL with experience in configuration management and deployment of developed code. * PI experience would be an advantage - Specifically information modelling skills and expertise using PI AF and EF to model enterprise assets and events as well as experience developing visualizations using Processbook and PI Coresight. * The successful candidate must be a highly motivated individual who is delivery focused and has experience of working successfully across multiple business & functional teams. * Minimum 3-5 years' experience supporting/delivering IT systems e.g. requirements gathering, design documentation, test case development, system & integration testing.
