A Mechanical Fitter is needed by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork based recycling client. The role is to manage, schedule and complete preventative maintenance ensuring maximum machine availability and minimisation of downtime. THE ROLE: * Complete all planned preventative maintenance as per schedules to ensure maximum equipment performance and availability and minimisation of equipment downtime. * Respond to equipment breakdowns. * Complete all ad hoc repairs as required across the site. * Accurate record completion and filing. * Liaise with and manage third party companies contracted to carry out repair, maintenance or building works. REQUIREMENTS: * Practical experience in the maintenance of plant and equipment. * Ability to resolve problems. * Qualified mechanical fitter or mechanic. * Welder Qualification Certificate. * Valid abrasive wheel training.
