A Staff Engineer (Packaging) is required by a Cork based Global Medical Technologies company on a permanent contract. The ideal candidate will be motivated, quality driven and have at least 3 years' experience in packaging design development within a in medical device, biotech or pharmaceutical environment. If this sounds like your next challenge please call 087-6488969 for further information on this great opportunity… THE ROLE: * Management of significant Engineering projects through OnePPM and provide technical leadership from an engineering perspective. * Ownership of the plant metrics and FPY and MRB process from an engineering perspective. * Ensure quality of process and product as defined in appropriate OS and material specifications. * Provide support to Process Development / Advanced Operations on technology development and application within the manufacturing process. * Engage in the implementation of lean manufacture within manufacturing and support process development and cost reduction activities within the business units. REQUIREMENTS: * Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline. * Minimum of 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. * Functional knowledge of Design Controls, Industry and Cleaning standards in Packaging Design.
