Description

Reporting to : Quality Manager   General Purpose:   Responsible for performing product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs, first article inspections, out of box audit (OOBA), sampling of built products and inspection of incoming components and raw materials. Ensures raw materials, in process and finished products meet company standards.  Principle Accountabilities:    Working from engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, diagrams, written descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform complex engineering testing, checkout, First Article Inspection, root cause analysis, internal corrective actions, and supplier correction actions.  Selects products for audits at specified stages in the production or post-production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and mechanical, electrical, or cosmetic characteristics.  Records audit data, applying statistical quality control procedures.  Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.  Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.  Download quality information from quality system to be used for QA reports.  Analyzes engineering test results and implements process changes to resolve problems.  Provides factory support to identify and resolve issues associated with purchased parts, materials, and manufacturing.  Support receiving process with inspection of incoming components and raw materials.     Qualifications and Experience:   · Highly organized, driven by achieving results both on a personal and team basis.  · They will be a clear thinker, perceptive, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.   · Office Skills: Phones, word, Excel, Power point etc. data entry, ERP software, and database systems  · Successful candidates will have sound knowledge of quality and process engineering methods.  · Diploma / Technical training or equivalent experience in Quality/Electronics/Engineering or related discipline is required.  · Experience in electronic manufacturing would be an advantage  · Experience in Lean and Six Sigma methods would be an advantage.     Requirements   · This is an on site role  · All candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland.     Applications   · Please send CV and cover letter to eimear.lynch@flex.com      Note: This job description reflects essential functions, it does not prescribe or restrict the number or types of tasks that may be assigned or reassigned during the conduct of business.  .
