A Financial Analyst is required by CareerWise Recruitment for a Cork based pharmaceutical leader. This is an initial 12 month contract that will focus heavily on US GAAP Standards and the preparation of monthly account reconciliations. For further information please call 087-6489969. THE ROLE: * Ensure accuracy of financial accounting entries in manufacturing entities under US GAAP accounting rules. * Preparation of statutory financial accounts under local GAAP for local Irish Entities, share scheme and pension. Co-ordination with auditors re audit and submission of same. * Work with cost/management accountants to ensure manufacturing accounts are accurately stated at monthly (& quarterly/year-end) close. * Monitor accounting processes carried out by Global Business Service Centers. Liaise with those teams on weekly basis to agree work-plan & advise on accounting postings where necessary. * Prepare monthly account reconciliations for all assigned accounts on the general ledger using online reconciliation system. REQUIREMENTS: * Qualified Accountant ACA/ CIMA/CPA/ACCA with 2+ years PQE, ideally in a manufacturing environment. * Excellent knowledge and experience in preparing financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP. * Strong organisational and documentation skills, SAP experience a distinct advantage.
