A Senior Financial Accountant is needed by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork based pharmaceutical client for a 15-month fixed term contract. This is a hybrid role supporting reporting, inventory and costing in a manufacturing environment. THE ROLE: * Working with Finance team and Operations to support the analysis and development of the financial information required to successfully support the company. * Responsible for Inventory control and analysis. * Month end preparation and reporting. Report on finance performance metrics within the business and being accountable for analysis & commentary. * Preparation of the annual budget cycle, quarterly forecast submissions to achieve corporate deadlines and ensure divisional targets are met. * Review of standard costs and monitor / forecast all manufacturing variances to plan. * Promote and maintain focus on site cost saving initiatives. Regular reporting required on same. REQUIREMENTS: * At least 4 years of experience in the life sciences industry or a similar operating environment. * Experience in month end reporting, planning, budget and forecasting processes. * Understanding of inventory accounting and manufacturing variances. * Knowledge of SAP (or other ERP) MS Office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. * Experience in preparing applications for Irish grants, R&D tax credits. * Accountancy Qualification essential e.g. CIMA/ ACA/ACCA. * Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland.
