A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Specialist – Finance Planning & Analysis to join our team at Brinny. Working with Finance team and Operational colleagues to support the analysis and development of the financial information required to successfully support the company. It will involve quantifying the business aspects of spend and resource management in a dynamic environment and managing key stakeholders where change arises. Involving month end reporting, responsibility for Inventory, forecast updates and budget preparation. Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following: Responsible for Inventory control and liaising with COSI on same. Month end preparation and reporting.  Report on finance performance metrics within the business and being accountable for analysis & commentary. Preparation of the annual budget cycle, quarterly forecast submissions to achieve corporate deadlines and ensure divisional targets are met. Be a business partner to liaise with   department leads on their budget spending and headcount, providing detailed commentary on variances and addressing over-runs. Lead the preparation of R&D Tax Credits submissions and Government Grants claims. Review of standard costs and monitor / forecast all manufacturing variances to plan. Promote and maintain focus on site cost saving initiatives. Regular reporting required on same. Drive continuous process optimization, standardization and stability. Responsible for driving a culture of Continuous Improvement by deploying Merck Six Sigma tools. Develop, implement and monitor internal financial controls and procedures of the company and facilitate both internal and external audits including SOX compliance. Ensure site compliance on PO requisition and Invoice approval. Be involved in the  weekly core team cost governance meeting and the monthly cost governance meeting as /the project charter. Stakeholder management of all internal and above site stakeholders. Ensure month end accruals are timely & accurate. What skills you will need: In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have: At least 4 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry or a similar operating environment. Experience in month end reporting, planning, budget and forecasting processes. Understanding of inventory accounting and manufacturing variances. Knowledge of SAP preferable. Knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience in preparing applications for Irish grants, R&D tax credits etc. Demonstrated leadership and change management skills with a continuous improvement focus. Degree or 3rd level qualification (Business/Finance. Accountancy Qualification essential  e.g CIMA/ ACA/ACCA. As a company, we are committed to 'Inventing for Life' in all that we do.
