A Production Supervisor is required on a PERMANENT basis by CareerWise Recruitment for our client; a Cork-based Food Company. This role will give the successful candidate immersion in the exciting and challenging environment of FMCG. THE ROLE: * Supervise the day-to-day implementation of the production schedule and staffing allocation. * Ensure people, raw material and packaging are available as required. * Engage daily with line employees, providing coaching, coordination, on the job training and guidance. * Ensure that all lines are performing to target and where not, proactively assess line problems and troubleshoot solutions. * Monitor line outputs and production losses, yields and maintain giveaway targets for each line. * Maintain production records, quality checks and housekeeping. Act as a member of the HACCP team. * Ensure H&S procedures are being followed by all staff. * Support the early identification and resolution of employee issues. * Lead daily Pulse meetings. * Support 5S in the factory and update boards in your area weekly, undertaking weekly assessments of each line. * Monitor accuracy of handovers between previous and upcoming teams. * Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities. REQUIREMENTS: * Relevant qualifications and/or experience in a food production environment is essential. * People management experience is desirable. * Working knowledge of MS Office and experience working with production and staffing would be an advantage. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Flexible and results driven with good analytical skills. * Highly motivated team player with ability work using own initiative. * Ability to manage multiple priorities within a production environment.
