Assistant Reservations Managers position, based in leading Cork City Hotel. Salary is €30k and candidates require similar role expertise including Hotsoft experience. Provide  exceptional customer service for clients at enquiry stage and beyond. The Assistant Reservations Manager assists with providing information and  reservations to guests, including upselling special packages, upgraded rooms and cross-selling different services throughout the property. The Assistant Reservations Manager monitors the Agents' calls to ensure correct sales tactics are used and quality service is provided. To assist the Reservations Manager in managing the team to ensure that all up-selling opportunities are exploited and that dining/spa bookings are  chased & confirmed for accommodation guests. To ensure all sales and reservations are performed with adherence to the policies and procedures of the property. SOPs created, followed and signed off by each team member. To assist in managing the enquiry handling system, from initial enquiry, to contracting and handover to operations prior to arrival. Work  alongside Reservations Manager and Revenue Manager for assessing new enquiries, preparing quotes and formal proposals and/or for agreeing rates to be quoted by individuals within the department. Responsible for the tracking, the chase system and for the conversion of the quotes issued by the department. To ensure that voice enquiries are efficiently handled to ensure maximum conversion via the voice channel. Attend Hotel training when required. To liaise with Reservations Manager to ensure that all tasks on the reservations daily check list are completed by team members prior to the reservations department closing each day. Assist  Reservations Manager with all related duties as requested. Reviewing policies and procedures alongside Reservations Manager. Supervises, mentors and leads the reservations team of the properties. To plan and arrange departmental training with the new team members as well as  creates a culture of generating new knowledge opportunities and good service attitude. Assist with interviews. Develop service recovery framework. Foster initiative and enterprise in teams. Foster team adaptability. Monitor and reward performance in a team to support achievement of results. Participate in dispute resolution. Solve problems and make decisions at managerial level. Supervise, motivate and empower staff. Manage loss/risk prevention. You must have fluent spoken and written English. 2/3 years Reservations Supervisory / management experience in 4/5* Hotel is required for application to be considered.
